Understanding the types of shipment for your international delivery

When it comes to shipping a product internationally, many people are in a dilemma about what products can be shipped and what products cannot be shipped.

However, some shipping companies mention in their platform what items can be shipped and ask customers accordingly to place the orders of those items; otherwise, it becomes hectic to make a proper shipment.

With Shoppre, things are much simpler and easier. We have mentioned a list of prohibited items that can’t be shipped internationally on the platform itself. Different types of shipment for shipping internationally

• Normal shipment
• Special shipment
• Medicine shipment
• Electronic shipment

Normal shipment

In this shipment category, you can order clothing, accessories, artificial jewelry, footwear, bags, books, kitchen items, dry groceries, ready-to-eat items, etc. The shipping cost of these items depends on the volumetric and actual weight of the package, whichever is higher, to estimate your cost.

Usually, it takes 3- 6 days to deliver these items. There are no extra charges applicable for delivering this kind of shipment. However, if multiple packages are there, then the consolidation charges will be INR 50/package.

Special Shipment

In Special shipment, you can ship liquid and semi-liquid items such as creams, lotions, gels, oils, cosmetics, etc. We usually consider both the volumetric and actual weight of the package and choose whichever is higher to estimate your shipping cost.

Normally, it takes 7-10 days to connect the shipment and 15-20 days for delivery. Along with shipping charges, there will be liquid clearance charges in case of a special shipment.

Special Liquid Clearance Charges are as shown below:

• 0.5 kg to 5 kg = INR 1400/Shipment, (Dubai & Singapore INR 3100 for 0.5kg to 5Kg)
• 5 kg to 10 kg = INR 3100/Shipment
• 10 kg to 15 kg = INR 5400/Shipment
• Above 15kg = INR 7800/Shipment

Also, if multiple packages are there, then the consolidation charges will be INR 50/package.

Medicine shipment

This shipment includes ayurvedic and Allopathic medicines (only tablets). Homeopathic medicines are restricted to international shipping. In case of shipping charges, we normally consider both the volumetric and actual weight of the package and choose whichever is higher to estimate your cost.

It takes 7-10 days to deliver the medicine shipment. Along with shipping charges, there will be INR 500 extra charges. If multiple packages are there, then the consolidation charges will be INR 50/package.

Electronic shipment

Electronic shipment allows you to ship mobile phones, bluetooth, headphones, etc. We normally consider both the volumetric and actual weight of the package and choose whichever is higher to estimate your shipping cost.

Usually, it takes 7-10 days for the delivery of electronic shipments. There will be INR 500 extra along with shipping charges if the electronic item costs less than INR 25,000. If the item costs more than INR 25,000 and less than INR 49,999, there will be INR 2500 as extra charges.

However, if multiple packages are there, then the consolidation charges will be INR 50/package.
