Duties and taxes for your shipment

As per international shipment, you have to normally incur some duties and taxes while receiving your products from outside your country.

Shoppre's shipping charges include all taxes applied in India, but not the country's import duties that you are shipping the package off to. Your country's customs agency may determine if you owe a duty or tax depending on your purchase's products. Nearly every shipment that crosses an international border is subject to the assessment of duties and taxes. Each country determines the assessment of duties and taxes differently.

Insurance of your shipment

Often, people are worried about whether their shipment is insured and how much the insurance charge will be. Insurance of your order helps you to get the money back from the shipping company if your order suffers any loss or damage.

At the moment, Shoppre has an insurance option available only for shipments dispatched via DHL. When creating a ship request, you can inform us via email to [email protected] that you would like to take the insurance. It is offered at the cost of INR 500 + 0.35% of the item value. As for the other couriers currently, there is no option of insuring the shipments.

Shipping rates excludes customs fees, tariffs & taxes

Usually, the shipping cost which the shipping companies charge excludes the customs fees, tariffs & taxes.

Suppose destination customs ask for any documents related to the receiver/sender package when receiving the package in your country. In that case, you need to share documents such as passport, phytosanitary certificate, FDA certificate & more. ShoppRe does not have any control over the customs duties.

Shipping rates does not change regularly

Mostly, the shipping rates charged by the shipping companies remain constant for a reasonable period. This regular shipping rate helps a shipping company to maintain a base shipping rate. Also, the customer doesn’t have to face any difficulty estimating their shipping cost while placing an order.

Additional shipping charges

Many shipping companies may charge additional shipping costs for delivering products internationally due to some factors. However, there are no additional shipping charges that Shoppre incurs. You have to pay the basic shipping charge for your order.

Liquid clearance charges

Many shipping companies do not ship liquid items. However, Shoppre lets you export liquid/semi-liquid items as long as they are not restricted in the receiving country or fall under the prohibited category. This will attract an additional special package handling fee as below:

Less than 5 Kg = ₹1392.4 per shipment

5 Kg to 10 Kg = ₹3009 per shipment

10Kg to 15 Kg = ₹5369 per shipment

Above 15 Kg = ₹7729 per shipment

Liquids/semi-liquids items will have to be shipped separately from other items and may take additional time (10-20 days) to reach your doorstep.

Various payment methods in exports
